South African cryptocurrency exchange VALR has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Pantera Capital, one of the world’s leading blockchain venture capital firms.
The funding will be used to expand VALR’s presence across Africa and into new markets such as India and the Middle East.
VALR has been rapidly growing in South Africa, offering a variety of trading services and digital asset products. The exchange aims to leverage this investment to enhance its infrastructure, add new trading pairs, and offer innovative financial products.
As Africa continues to emerge as a key region for crypto adoption, VALR’s expansion is expected to play a major role in shaping the continent’s growing digital asset landscape.
